Email Setup Guide for MS Outlook 2016

Introduction
Follow the Steps below to set up your email on any Microsoft Outlook and you won’t go wrong.
Steps Overview
1. Open Control Panel (CP)
- Click on Search and type “Control Panel” at the bottom left of your screen
- Click on “Control Panel” in the slip-up menu to open it.
- In the CP window, click on search at the top right space and type “Mail”. Then click on the Mail icon to open it.
- Click on Show Profile in the
- Click on Add button to add a new Profile
- Name the Profile - eg “GARY” and click OK
- Add Account - Select “Manual setup or additional server types” and then click Next
- Select “POP or IMAP” and then click Next
- Email Account Details - IMAP
- Click on “More Settings …” as in image above
- Click on the Outgoing Server tab and check “My outgoing server SMTP requires authentication” and select “use the same settings…” as in mage in (10).
- Click on the “Advanced” tab and match the settings in the image below.
- Click OK in the above dialog to go back to “Change Account” dialog and then Click Next (image in Step 9)
- Sending and Receiving test should be successful
2. Open Email in Microsoft Outlook on your desktop. It should open the new email just configured.
